we will also see that cells contain smaller units called organelles that work together in sustaining life within the cell. Getting inceasingly larger we see how cells that perform similar function form tissues which in turn form organs. The organs join to form organ systems which ultimately form multicellular organisms form a community and this, when combined whith the physical environment is called an ecsystem. Different ecosystems join together to form the biosphere - or this world in which we live.
To give a brief example of this, let's look at our own human experience. When you think about it, our bodies are made up of billions of atoms ( which are made of the subatomic particles). These atoms form molecules (like sugar) which help us to live. Each one of the cells in our body has tiny organelles that help the c( a muscle) and the heart ang alll the other organs in the body ( liver, eyes, stomsch) make up a living organism. all human are alike and thus form a population, which, when joined whith the other types of organisms aroud us ( like trees birds, and other animal) form a community. One community in a specific area ( for instance the community of living organisms in a desrert) form an ecosystem. And, the diffrent ecosystems ( like muontains, oceans, river, arctic region, etc) come together to form the biosphere.
