“Food average. Good pool table!!” Dec 11, 2014 We strolled round looking for a place to eat and I knew DMZ had rated very high on TA. After sitting down, it was noticeable the upstairs tables are very tightly packed, which is good for starting conversations with others but not if you want privacy. I ordered burger and chips with bacon and cheese (88k) and my boyfriend had penne arabiatta (72k) These are roughly standard prices for this sort of cuisine in Vietnam but it is still above our usual budget. When the meals came I was immediately disappointed with the serving size of the chips, sporadically spread across my plate to make it look like there was more. Saying that, they tasted good and I saw someone on the next table with the same dish and twice as many chips. So maybe I was just unlucky. The burger bun was nice but the patty lacked flavour and the overall combination was quite dry. The pasta was full of fresh ingredients but served on a plate so again portion size had been made to appear larger than it probably was. Beers were more expensive (30k+) than most other bars and restaurants but we just had soft drinks (22k) which isn't far from the standard. The staff however were polite and attentive, food and drinks were pretty punctual. We couldn't fault the service! We played a few games of pool and the table was extremely good! We probably won't return unless it's for another game....
