Why do people drink? Often because they are thirsty, but this can’t be the only reason, there must be other reasons, too. In many countries, when friends see each other, they often have a drink while they sit and talk. Many English people don’t need anyone else, they drink tea several times a day even if they are alone!
In most countries, people say something special when they drink together. The English often say “Cheers”. In all countries, there are many places where the main purpose is to sell drinks. Since there are so many of those places, it seemed that many people drink more often than they really need to.
