"Jackson...Bambam never came home last night." She had said through the phone speakers.

Bambam never came home last night.

Bambam never came home last night.

Bambam never came home last night.

Jackson had to repeat her words a few times in his head for it to sink in.

When it did, the phone dropped out of Jackson's hands and onto the hard, marble ground. He didn't bother to pick it up nor did he care. Jackson just sat there on his bed trying to get his head straight. Hataichanok must be playing around with him.

This wasn't supposed to happen. After he had abandoned Bambam on the side of the road last night due to…technical difficulties, he was supposed to come home. Bambam wasn't supposed to go missing. What did she mean he never came home? Bambam knows his way home. He has friends that can pick him up.

Then why hasn't he come home? But no, he can't be missing, right?

When Jackson reassured himself of that, he leaned down slowly to pick up his phone off the floor. Thank goodness it didn't break. Hataichanok was still on the line and he could hear her worried breathing as she wait for him to say something...anything...to reassure her of Bambam's whereabouts.

"...please tell me this is some sick joke. Bambam's at home, isn't he." Jackson tried to make excuses.

He wanted to believe so bad that nothing bad could've possibly happen to Bambam. But going over the fact that he left the Thai boy on the side of the road at night, the chances of something happening to Bambam weren't impossible. There were kidnappers, gangsters, dangerous drunk people, and who knows what else lurking on the streets. The more Jackson thought about that, the madder he became at himself. Why did he have to act so rashly?

"No Jackson, he won't pick up his phone or answer his texts and we haven't seen his face since yesterday before he left with you to go fishing." She informed.

Jackson tried to swallow the anxiety in his throat but couldn't. The last time he had seen Bambam's face was before their argument. He hadn't dared to look at Bambam when he climbed out of the car because it might've been too painful to do so.

Jackson blames himself for all of it. It was his entire fault why Bambam hadn't gotten home. If Jackson had never brought up the topic of Mark then they would've never argued and Bambam would maybe have stayed the night or at least would've gotten home safely. Now, Jackson had no idea where he was.

"...I'm sure he's at a friend's house right now. Bambam is safe, I'm certain...hopefully. Don't worry. I will find him." Jackson said before he hung up. Jackson grabbed at his hair frustrated. What have he done.

He needed to find Bambam. He needed to apologize for what he had done. It's kind of funny because never in his life has Jackson wanted to apologize to anybody.

Jackson knew he had so much more to apologize to Bambam for but this was the least he could do without revealing his whole plan. If only he knew that Bambam is already aware.

Jackson was almost sure of one thing. The Thai boy was smart and could figure out a way to get home. So why didn't he? That is what worried Jackson.

Now, where the hell could Bambam be, Jackson asked himself.

Jackson's car rode along scouring the road they took yesterday for any signs of Bambam. When that didn't work, he took to going through 3/4 of all the streets in the city hoping that by some miraculous chance, he would run into Bambam. Unfortunately, there was nothing.

Why was it that they always find each other somehow spontaneously but not now, at the time where Jackson needed him most.

Jackson tried contacting Bambam's friends to see if they know where he was. Even Key. But no one knew and it frustrated Jackson. If Bambam wasn't with his friends or his family, then there was no other ing place that he would be, he thought.

He slammed his head on the car horn in anger. Why did he have to be so stupid? Jackson wished that he could reverse time so that he pulled Bambam back in the car and said sorry.

Jackson spent the rest of the day going in and out of public buildings, through parks, and even as far as to some of Bambam's friends' houses to look for him. Without any luck.

Before he wanted it to be, it was already 6:47 p.m. and there were no signs of Bambam...anywhere.

Jackson should've known better. What chances did he have of finding Bambam in a city this massive?

The next day, Jackson was waiting, praying for good news. He woke up that morning hoping he'd open his phone with a message from Hataichanok saying Bambam came back home and he's still sleeping. But no.

His phone was just full of useless notifications. Nothing that actually mattered to him at the moment.

'Maybe he would be at school.' Jackson thought.

He arrived on campus early and waited for any chance that Bambam would pass through the gates. As thirty minutes passed and more students rushed in, none of the faces belonged to Bambam.
