The SCR operation was the study of the inlet catechol concentration effect ranging from 630 to 1560 mg/L. Figure 3 depicts the degradation of catechol and data relating to the timing of COD removal. As observed in Figure 3, when switching the inlet catechol concentration to a higher level (zone A to D), the performance of SCR initially decreased but it recovered and reached steadystate after a few days of changing the concentration.
