This mean that larger organisations emphasise more on work specialization , departmentalization, expansion of charts and rules compared to organisations that are smaller in size.

The relationship between structure and technology, routine activities create structures that are more centralized, whereas non-routine activities depend largely on the expertise of an individual, for example , a barder; this creates a more decentralized structure.
