1. To undertake operation of all equipment and cameras to comply with the CCTV Code of Practice, on rotating 24 hour shift patterns, 365 days a year, including weekend and bank holidays.

2. To effectively monitor and patrol via view screens and to take any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen.

3. To produce and maintain continuity of all detailed records or evidential material required in a clear, concise, legible accurate format. This includes an incident log, tape management records, evidence records and other documentation in acco4rdance with the Council’s systems and procedures.

4. To monitor and operate radio links with retail sector and review recorded material for suitability for evidential purposes.

5. To communicate between other departments, external agencies or the public in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

6. To follow the guidelines contained in the Code of Practice and Procedure Manual for liaison with the Police. This will include the making of statements where required. To be prepared to attend Court when required, providing evidence.










7. To carry out regular equipment checks and report all equipment faults to the CCTV Superintendent / Maintenance Contractor.

8. To sign a confidentiality agreement and follow the guidelines regarding handling of all information obtained within the Control Room, whether videotapes, written, verbal and other sensitive materials held within the Control Room.
9. To be aware of and act in accordance with the Data Protection and Human Rights Act regarding disclosure of information and respect privacy. To ensure the security of the Control Room and all equipment is maintained satisfactorily at all times, which includes access control of all visitors to the Control Room and information within.

10. To carry out such other duties as the CCTV Superintendent may properly require from time to time in accordance with the grading of the post.

11. To participate in development and review process and in any training and development activities identified and agreed as relevant to your personal development and/or your development in your job.

12. To operate the systems having regard to Human Rights legislation, including Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act and Data Protection principles.
