I honestly don't know if I dreamed this, or if it was
some sort of extreme prank played by my sister late
at night, or... No. I don't want to think about that.
Either way, people are starting to call me crazy and
I'm starting to believe them.
I was home alone on January 2nd, 2013. My
parents were out at some fundraiser for my dad's
job, and my sister was at her friend's place. My
parents had decided I was finally old enough to
spend the night by myself.
I was sitting on the couch in the sitting room
upstairs at around 1 A.M., just flipping my way
through a glossy new magazine and listening to
Maury Povich on the TV. Suddenly, all the lights in
the house flickered for about 10 seconds, then went
off completely.
The TV screen fizzed, then appeared on a black
screen with what seemed to be a neon green sound
register. You know those things, like a heart
monitor? That bounces with the sound? One of
those. It buzzed lightly with the static noise for 30
seconds, then everything stopped. It wasn't just
quiet. It was silent. You don't know fear untill you
think you've gone deaf and it just keeps. Geting.
Quieter.
Then, a loud screaming penetrated the silence. My
senses returned to me, there was the screaming
and some static and what sounded like something
sizzling. But the screaming was the most
prominent. It sounded like a woman screaming
bloody murder like she is running away from a
murderer in a horror movie.
After about 10 seconds, it all stopped. The lights
came back on and Maury slowly resumed. Terrified,
I turned on every light in the house and called my
parents, demanding they return home immediately. I
slept in between them that night, the first time
since I was ten. I was fifteen at the time.
I still don't know what really happened. The news
never touched on it, nor the newspapers. I looked
everywhere online for any evidence of this, but all I
could find was one picture of what had been on the
screen. I found it on Exelcior.com, a website that
ceiced to exist moments after I downloaded the
picture. I think I may have been the only person
who saw it, because when I asked my friends the
next day they all said the same thing- "forget about
it."
I'm still searching for answers.
