The hypouricemic effect was confirmed for the compounds of compound No. 17, 24, 25 and 26. A test compound suspended in a 0.5% metylcellulose solution was administered to 8 to 9 week-old Sprague-Dawley male rats (Japan Charles River Co.) by oral gavage administration using a feeding needle. After the blood was collected from the tail vein at 2 hours after administration, the plasma was separated. The level of uric axit in the blood sample was measured by uricase method using an absorption spectrometer as well as a uric axit determination kit (L type Wako UA F: Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.). The percentage of hypouricemic effect was determind by the following expression:
