COMPLETING THE PROCESS
The team now has an ideal vision for the project. Naturally, we generally cannot “go for broke” in most projects, so we will probably forego some attributes. One way to do this is to place those attributes in three categories. These are labeled must-have, want, and nice-to-have. I have shown this in Fig- ure 17–4, to illustrate the relationship between problem state- ment, vision, and mission in a slightly different way than was done in Figure 17–2.
Having done all of this, you can now proceed to step 3 in my general model of managing projects, which is to develop a project strategy.
